this week we read a bunch of poems, I have trouble understanding some of them like " we real cool" I did not understand how this had to do with pool players. I felt the one about the dog had no special meaning and it was just about a dog. A supermarket in california just went right over my head, I don't get it at all. I looked up what diving into a wreck meant and it said a woman's journey into a male society. this poem went a little to deep for me agin, it seems very hard to connect these two for myself. I also read Metaphors then looked it up online reread it and pregnancy made perfect sense. I like the poems that i can sort of connect to the deeper meaning and then fully understand it after i look it up online. Then i can go re read it and enjoy it for what it is worth.
