In Franz Kafka's short story, " Metamorphosis," an adult son who provides for his parents and sister working as a salesmen, one day wakes up on day to discover that he had morphed into a cockroach. With the new changes that have burden like effects on himself and his family has only made life of the family forever cursed. Although the young man has work so hard to support the whole family, he receives little in return when he is in need of assistance too adapt and make light of his situation. Gregor in this effect was almost immediately shunned. As time passes and the rest of the family began to slowly except the change as well as the Gregor the, poor young man that was morphed to become the insect. Gregor gradually loses his traits being a human for instance his diet changes preferring old and outdated food versus fresh food. At the same rate he gains traits that make him more and more like a cockroach such as "naturally," hiding under the coach when ever some one comes into the room. His sister did the most to care for Gregor as his parents did minimal to also care for him, as though they feel disgusted by what there son has become. After two months the Mother finally decided to see her son but because she hasn't truly begun to accept the changes to Gregor, because she was not prepared she fainted. Seen as if Gregor had committed a despicable crime when really all he did was be seen by his Mother, the Father came out in rage attempting to kill Gregor, only to be saved by his sister.
Personally I think this is one of the weirdest short stories I have ever read. However, after seeing the authors background, he gave the reader a good reflection on his relationship with his own family growing up.
