Metamorphosis Part 1

Metamorphosis is seemingly a simple story, but there is much more when you read deeper into it. Personally when I read the story I didn't notice all of the symbolism in the story. There are also many characteristics in society that are unusual to us. In the story he is late to work at 7 in the morning, and his entire family depends on him. The Samson's also live in one apartment. The Deputy Director comes to the house in order to see what is going on, even though it is only 7 am. There are many things that in our society that we would consider unusual. Also this story has many deeper meanings to it, reflecting the author and his raising. He had a tough dad, and this appears in many of his stories. He was treated not badly, but raised in a tough family where it was very hard to please his father. His mother was no help, because she was not intelligent enough to understand why he wanted to be a writer.
