Brendan Mclaughlin Blog#3

While reading Metamorphosis I was very confused about why he turned into a bug. Then we went to the first class and discussed why it might be a bug. This class made it easier and gave me the building blocks to start putting the story together. I started seeing how he went from being the person that produces the bread to take care of the family and then after a wile they take him for granted. But then when he can't provide for his family they start to look down apron him and they don't take care of him like he took care of them. They start to just care less and less. He then starts to get fed up with his family and how they treat him.then they want to get rid of him. This must have been very sad for Gregor to realize that his family was ashamed of him and did not love him anymore. I found this story sad that this could parallel somebody's real life and how ones family could possibly treat another like that. I don't know what it means by their daughter rose first and strung her young body. Does this mean she hung her self?
