Poems

After reading the poems for Tuesdays class, I thought that each one of them showed a lot of symbolism and they were all very interesting to analyze with my group. One poem that stood out the most for me was Traveling Through the Dark. I liked this one a lot because it had a lot of description in the poem and it was very easy to create an image in my head. It also reminded me of a short story almost because at the end of the poem, the man had to make a decision to put the deer in the river or not. I thought for sure he may try and save the baby inside of the deer but his wise decision of putting it in the river made the ending very good. I would defiantly consider my essay on analyzing this poem. It has a ton of symbols and details in it that I feel I can write some good points about the essay. Even though there are more poems for us to read for class, I would like to see if there is another poem that is just as good as this one and maybe has better descriptions and symbols than this one.
