After reading "Handsomest Drowned Man," the story was a very difficult reading. Many little details in the story that may have been symbolistic just didnt seem to add up into any clear moral. Checking the background of the author, his story's were mostly inspired by family tales and his grandfathers experiences in the Spanish war. Taking this fact into account to analyzing his story made it a little more complicated. It made seem the authors story was lost between family tales and his grandfathers war stories.
