This week we read the classes poetry selections.  They were Frost – The Road Not Taken, Blake – A Poison Tree, Shakespeare Sonnets 18 and  116, Bishop - The Fish,  Sexton – Cinderella, Whitman – A Noiseless Patient Spider, Johnson- On My First Son.  Of these poems I liked the fish by Bishop the best.  this poem was about a man who caught a hug heavy fish.  he had remarked about how the fish had not put up a fight, when he got the fish into his boat he saw that there were five hooks in its lip from where he had broken away before.  he thought that it was odd that this fish had not put a fight when it was clear that he would have been able to win one.  in the end he decided to release the fish back into the water.
