are beginning to include more details and critical thinking. I like the analysis many of you are contributing to this online discussion. I see connections you're making with some of the terms we're applying (the irony in Poe's The Cask, and the symbolism of the Drowned Man).  Keep exploring these connections and terms. All of you bring up some wonderful points in your small group discussion, and writing in this format should allow you to elaborate on those thoughts and ideas. All of the theories you read and contribute here will help as we move towards a formal written analysis of a short story in the near future. I notice that many of us are picking up on the same points of interest, and some of you are leaning towards the big picture  -- i.e. the "moral" of the story, which goes way beyond a brief summary.
