Blog #3 due 3/21

Today in class we discused a part of the short story "The Metamorphosis". This story was extremely hard to get the point of it. The story was about a man who has a great job and supports his whole family with the money he makes. Now when i say his whole family i dont mean his wife or his kids, I mean he supports his mom, dad, and sister. Its odd to me that he would have to work to support them, because normally it is the other way around. Apparently the father went bankrupt and that is why they all need to be supported. So this man who has the great job one day wakes up in bed and is a bug. He can barely get out of bed let only go to work and make money. Everyone starts to worry when he doesnt go to work. His boss, mother, father and sister all come to check on him and try to see whats wrong. The mother and father just tryed to get him to go to work so he can make them money but the sister actually cared about him a little bit. The boss just wanted to see what was going on. After everyone sees that the man is a bug and can barely leave the room they all treat him like hes nothing since he cant provide for them anymore. I think that this resembles that some people just use you and only are nice to you when they need something but when you cant give them nothing they just ignore you.
