The story’s “The Handsomest Drowned Man in The World" and "The Cask of Amontillado" share a come theme of death. However they are different in how they use it in that in “The Cask of Amontillado" death is used as a form of revenge but “The Handsomest Drowned Man in The World” death is used as the start of a new beginning. I felt that the two stories were creepy and disturbing but the messages of both story were compelling and eye opening. Death many be at first bad but in in some situations death means new life and a new begins.
