the past story about the giant man washing up on the shore of the island was very strange, especially in the beginning when the children started playing with the dead body. i don't know about anyone else but when i was younger and even today, if i saw a dead body wash up on the shore i would not start playing with it. that beginning part alone just made me dislike this story from the very beginning. that along with the fact that this man who never set foot on the island alive got the town named after him and the towns people threw him off a cliff back into the sea. these are just a few reasons i don't like this last story we read.
